What? I’m a Women?

Is Malaysia a secular state or not?Why the politicians needs to make us so confuse?
Why do we need to go through this again and again?

All these years I thought I’m living in a secular state suddenly Pak Lah changed my belief.
                                        
Is like when I am 50 years old now and went for medical check up.

DOC: “actually I have something to tell you. I need to tell you who you really are. You..you..you are a female!!(hands over my shoulder, trying to calm me) Your birth cert printed wrongly..at least you know now..Is not too late to know..you know.”

Me : “But doc, I have a thing down here!! I have Adam’s apple!!”

DOC : “You misinterpret it, you are a women now!! Is ok..Is ok that you didn’t know, now you know! (show you a “now everything is clarified” smile):

Me : “DOC, SEE THIS!!(pull down my pants) I HAVE A THING DOWN HERE!!LOOK!!“

DOC: “I know, I know, is hard to believe. It took me a lot of courage to tell you. Anyway, HAPPY 50th bday!!Is your 1st year being a women. Enjoy it!”(Another “everything is clarified” smile)

Me : “What the ….”(without any further clarification, walk out of the room confused over my gender.)

E: Last year I think. I want to ask, I saw my own record as Data ini untuk semakan daftar pemilih..apa maksud nya?

SPR: the perkataan is actually nothing one, as long as you can find your records then you are voter..

E: The sentence is no meaning? What is semakan daftar pemilih? No meaning?

SPR: Yeah, just meaning that you are in our record. You can vote.

                                      

What? A sentence that in CAPS all the way is without a meaning? why can’t you just put

Status : OK! confirm a healthy voter not a phantom voter!

What?Paid to attend?

Some of my friends attended a party GM, they received RM50(so call petrol money) after the event, oh not to forget about the foods, drinks and the shirt that they wearing is free.

This really puzzle me, they went there without any knowledge or what so ever is going to happen there. Although they are into the current issues but not to the extend that they would go for a certain party General meeting.

Why you bother to pay the outsider to attend your meeting? So that it looks grant? Where the hell are your members? Busy with their busy schedule?

So, have you registered yourself as a qualify voter?

If not? Are you planning to throw us into flame and fire for the next 4-5 years? Are you planning to migrate that’s why you are not planning to register and vote?

If you are thinking of one vote cannot change anything, you are wrong. A vote can decide a win or lose.

If you look at a bigger picture you will see that if everyone who is having the same thought as you(not voting) now, which is like 2,000,000(for example) of you. Then it will not be a small amount anymore. You can influence the results.

If you(2,000,000) are voting in the coming election, out of it maybe only 70% is for the opposition party. You can weaken the BN the Great to BN the moderate. I’m not suggesting that you vote blindly but at least with a valid reason(not vote BN got faedah kinda thing) like the candidates is doing his job to represents the voice of the people.

Go and ask everyone around you who is above 21 to register themselves.

Malaysia will be a better place if everyone is voting, at least we played our part.

Improve your FM transmitter qualities.

Nice hack…I’ve been thinking of how to make the FM transmitter more reliable and consistent.

For those of you who are not using Ipod or MP3 player played over your radio in your car, this is irrelevant to you but if you are curious how to make your FM transmitter more reliable then you have to read this.

I’ve been thinking how to improve the quality of my FM transmitter. I always have difficulty to listen to my Ipod’s songs while driving, every 10KM or so I need to change to another frequency.

I bumped into this site which this guy Donn Morrison(thread starter) share his hack on the stereo systems, the hack was rather complicated for not so DIY personality like me.

Luckily there is another member imajoebob @ 2007.08.24.21:38 who suggested another Hack which is equally improve the quality of the Ipod played over the frequency. He used the switch connected(DIY also) to the antenna since the disturbance originated from the frequency. The switch can be switch to receive signal from the outside.

Still the suggestion is abit too complicated, if only I have the player which can play tape. It would be much easier and no interruption of signal.

Titles and status is really the devils of all egos.

Titles and status is really the devils of all egos.

I recently gotten my titles;CC(after completing 10 speeches) and CL(Competent Leadership). After I’ve gotten my titles, I’ve stop giving new speeches or even plan to write a new speech. I’m afraid to fail, fail at my speeches. (Egoism)

Today I was badly defeated by the talented and better speakers in my club in the humorous speech and evaluation contest.(Is hard to accept defeats, but I think this time I handle it quite well.)This is mainly due to my laziness and my egoism.

I used my old speech “Clubbing” with the hope of getting a placing, I gave that speech before as I have no intention to write any new humorous speech.  I’ve limited myself in believing that is(clubbing) the best humorous speech that I have(Actually that is the only humorous speech I’ve done). Egoism had me again, afraid of feedbacks like “I like your clubbing speech better”.

When I decided to join the contest, it was out of fun and experience(of course want to win 1st place lar) but this time I’m not so enthusiastic compare to when I competing in the International speech contest at February 2007. (excuses to comfort my failure)

                                  

I often have the kind of feelings that if I present the same speech again, the enthusiasm and the excitement(of the speech) will not be the same way as the 1st time I presented.

If my speech didn’t receive good response from the audiences(1st time), I will find ways to improve it but if it was the other way(received good feedbacks), I will hesitate to change the speech, I want to keep the gist of it. Unfortunately my “clubbing” speech belongs to the latter. I hesitated to change my approach towards the subject. I refused to make a new speech. I want to stay in my comfort zone, to play safe.

So as a result, my defeats is not a surprise. This defeats is good for me because I need to start on my speeches again. I’ve stopped giving speeches for 2 months plus. After completing the CC title. I don’t feel like doing anymore speeches as I feel like I’ve reached another level(Cheh).

Now is good, defeats can brings me back to the start. Where I need to relearn the techniques of giving speeches. It reminded me that I need to back to my drawing board.

If titles builds egoism then defeats builds humble-ism. I want to go back to the drawing boards and relearn the techniques and be humble again.

I’ve no talents in speaking but I am willing to learn and improve. I’ve few things which I really work my ass out if I really want to be respected in toastmastery.

1. I need to improve on my grammar and my prepositions.
2. speech organization.
   
3. Improve my diction.
